I’m beyond thrilled to announce my win in the Be Still Media Competition 1/2025! This is the second time I’ve won, placing 3rd with a prize of $3,000. The prize money will be a huge help to me, as I continue to write and make music. I am so grateful and blessed to the community of judges and artists at Be Still, and look forward to growing and creating more work in the coming year, because of their amazing support.

I poured my heart into my response to the prompt, “I know for sure that art saves lives,” with a song about my father & the artistic means of expression he has found in the most unlikely way – through his dimentia. More broadly, the song is about the freedom we find when we share our authentic selves, and the obstacles that hinder creativity.
